Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 240A.120 states that all Immigration Forms Specialists must have an active $50,000 surety bond. The company that issues your bond will mail you an original bond form. This must then be forwarded to the Nevada Secretary of State.
Additionally, a $100 fee is needed to get licensed.
Immigration Forms Specialist Requirements
To work as an Immigration Forms Specialist in Nevada, you will need to register as a Document Preparation Service. To do so, you must meet the following qualifications:
- Be a citizen or legal resident of the United States or hold a valid Employment Authorization Document.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Not be currently suspended or have been disbarred from the practice of law in any jurisdiction.
- Not have had a document preparation service registration previously revoked in this State or another state.
- Not have any disqualifying criminal convictions, according to paragraph (b) of subsection 1 of NRS 240A.290.
- Submit fingerprints to the Central Repository for Nevada Records of Criminal History.
