Iowa Travel Trailer Dealer Bond Update

What’s the New Surety Bond Requirement?

In Iowa, a new bill titled HB 391 increases the amount of the license bond required for travel trailer dealers from $25,000 to $75,000.

The bond secures the dealer’s compliance with the applicable law and regulations and must indemnify any person dealing or transacting business with the dealer from loss or damage due to the dealer’s failure to comply with the law, including the furnishing of a proper and valid certificate of title to a travel trailer.
