A new bill was recently enacted in Colorado that requires third-party providers of vehicle identification number inspections to obtain a surety bond.
Details on the New Requirement
The bill titled CO S 11, which is effective 03/05/2020, authorizes third-party providers to perform vehicle identification number verification inspections for commercial vehicles and requires evidence of a savings account, certificate of deposit or surety bond of at least $10,000.
