Charles L. Cummings (Sun, 28 Apr 2013 19:03:12 -0400): I am one of three commissioners of a special road district. Rather than the county maintaining the roads in our district (six miles), we have a property tax assessment for our district and we hire the grading, mowing, tree trimming, rock and hauling through a local contractor who has equipment to handle all our needs. We currently do not have liability insurance and have never had any issues with any travelers of the road we maintain. Would a Surety Bond be something we should consider purchasing? Charles L.
