License Overview

Effective January 1st, 2004 Mortgage Brokers in the state of Utah are regulated by the Utah Division of Real estate. If you are applying for a Mortgage Brokers License or a Mortgage Lender’s License they are both categorized under the Mortgage Lender License. Any Broker or Lender that wishes to write mortgages in the state of Utah must be licensed. This applies to Brokers and Lenders in Utah and outside Utah as well.

Currently Utah does not have a Surety Bond requirement for Licensing.
