New legislation was introduced in Nebraska State relating to treasurers of learning community coordinating councils. The new law is titled LB 392 and requires the treasurer of a learning community coordinating council to acquire a surety bond in a quantity no less than $500 and can not exceed double the amount of money that may come into their hands. The learning community coordinating council will establish the amount required. LB 392 became active upon enactment.

Iowa Treasurer Bond Requirement Update

A new secretary and treasurer bond requirement was introduced updating the stipulations in the state of Iowa on February 11th, 2009. The new law, titled HB 269, eradicates the surety bond requirement for the secretary and the treasurer of the board of a county or a memorial hospital. Florida Marion County Hospital District Secretary/Treasurer Bond

On 06/17/2008, the state of Florida enacted a new bill concerning the Marion County Hospital District. The new bill, titled HB 935, produces the Marion County Hospital District, which will be administrated by a board of trustees. HB 935 demands that if the secretary/treasurer is an individual other than a member of the board, then a surety bond no less than $10,000 will be required of them.
