A new law in Kentucky, introduced on 04/11/2008, is related to sports promoter bonds. The new law, HB 684, demands promoters of kickboxing and mixed martial arts events to abide by the same surety bond requirements under present law for wrestling and boxing match promoters managing such events. The surety bond must be $5,000 and is conditioned on the payment of taxes. The surety bond also must assure payment of any penalties and fees under the new law.
