A new bill was put in place relating to public officials in the state of Georgia. The new bill, named HB 682, approves the Byron City Council to employ a city administrator. HB 682 requires the administrator to acquire a surety bond in a quantity that the Council will establish. The surety bond indemnifies the City of Byron for the administrator’s defaults, misfeasance, or nonfeasance in the performance of the individual’s responsibilities.
