Travel agents have a new law to abide by in the state of Florida named SB 1310. The new law alters the amount of the surety bond required from travel agents based on whether the agent books travel from Florida to a terrorist state or if the travel agent also sells vacation certificates. Travel agents who certify annually that they do not book travel to terrorist states are required to post a $25,000 bond; a $50,000 bond is required if they also sell vacation certificates. Any agents that certify that they organize travel to terrorist states but have no other business or commercial relationships with said states must acquire a $100,000 surety bond or a $150,000 surety bond if they also sell vacation certificates. The travel agents that certify that they book travel to terrorist states and have other business or commercial relationships with said states must acquire a $250,000 surety bond or a $300,000 surety bond if they also sell vacation certificates.

I have paid for 2 vacations with YOUR GETAWAY SOLUTION (4207 VINELAND ROAD SUITE M14, ORLANDO, FL 32811). Also involved in this transaction are RESERVATIONS MADE SIMPLE (4630 S. Kirkman Rd., #309 Orlando, FL 32811) The phone numbers for both firms are not in service. BBB of Florida have advised me that they are unable to contact the firms. They claimed to be licensed and bonded.

Stan,
It looks like they would need to post a bond. Here is the bond type they would have posted and contact information for the state to file a claim.
Good luck!
